Actually it aint bad. I need to raise the rear a little bit to set some rake but I am pretty happy with how it came out. Unfortunately it wont be done until sometime during the week because I couldnt get a alignment late on a Saturday afternoon with no planning (unsurprising). I did drive it down the street to make sure nothing felt broken/wrong and it felt pretty damn good even at low speeds. If only the tires had any life left, then I would at least test drive it a little bit. But I shall patiently wait some more!

I did also fix my gear oil leak from the differential and for now just poured back in most of the fluid that I captured in a drain pan. I will also replace that this week but I didnt have a big enough torx bit for the diff drain plug. Excited to drive this soon.

Bonus sunset from Saturday night as I did an oil change on the Miata and swapped air filters on both cars (they were dirty as hell) :

That’s not bad at all. Front could even be set a tch lower after you raise the rear.

OTOH, I set my Audi low enough to cause problems on the street. Vehicle weight had depressed the asphalt under the wheels at a stop light such that I scraped the transmission strut, nearly high centered the car .

A nd I was old enough (40 at the time) that I found it hard to get out of a car so low.

Yeah my Miata is already low enough that speed bumps are basically rock crawling. Ive also had to remove a brace from the bottom of the car because it was bent by a highway joint. That created quite the spark show! So I probably wont lower the Subaru any further. This seems to be a nice “just a touch” lower than stock which is exactly what I wanted.

yup. The things guys do for fashion. No better/worse than what women do.

I learned from that experience for my Forester. Low enough to feel much sportier but not ridiculously so. The measuring tape was before I got the rear about an inch higher so it didn’t have the saggy look out back. Just like your Scoob.

Now that I think about it, I think I was using stock Impreza (possibly WRX? ) struts with springs from Primitive Racing

Looking great! Not super low that it’s unusable and the stiffer springs are going to be real nice For pushing it through corners  once you get the alignment done
